Writing isn't hard.
Getting out of your own way to make it happen makes it hard.
Here's 4 things which will help you get out of your own way to stop sabotaging your writing and your business.
Eliminate your self-doubt:
The first and most prominent form of self-sabotage in writing and business is self-doubt. You may have a head full of brilliant ideas, but if you lack the confidence to execute them, you may end up hindering your progress. Always believe in the power of your ideas and words. Learn from your failures, but never let them downplay your abilities or potential.
Set clear goals:
Whether it's writing a business blog or launching a new product, clear objectives are essential. Without a clear roadmap or compass, you may end up taking unnecessary detours. Make sure you have zeroed in on your purpose and worked out a detailed plan of action.
Manage your time efficiently:
Procrastination is a common form of self-sabotage. Often, vital tasks like updating a blog or following up with a client are pushed to the bottom of the list because it’s not super urgent. To avoid this, we suggest start the day with one niggling task, you’ll feel better for it. Book your content creation into your diary and treat it as you would do a client meeting.
Stay consistent:
Consistency is key in running a successful business and communicating effectively. Once you get into the hang of things, sticking to a routine becomes easier, and this gradually leads to growth. Consistency in your writing posts or business not only builds trust with your audience but also improves your writing skills, in terms of ease and flow. When you get clear on what you’re saying and you consistently repeat it, you never don’t know what you should be saying because it will roll off your tongue.
Remember, your words have the power to shape your business and your future. Don’t let self-doubt or fear hold you back.
Be bold, brave and consistent and let your words speak for themselves.
If you need help to improve your confidence and clarity when it comes to writing the words your business needs we're here to help.

I discovered Gabrielle Bernstein in the summer of 2019, inhaling her book The Universe has got your back while on holiday in France. Since then I've literally read her entire repertoire. I can't get enough of her positivity and make picking an affirmation card the first task of my day.

Alone, with friends, family or our clients, I LOVE dreaming up ideas. I believe anything is possible. The first step is allowing ourselves to imagine what those possibilities could be.

Mountains, I love 'em. I love looking at them, hiking them and the endless possibilities they hold. Our favourite place to explore in the UK is the Lake District. Whenever we have a spare weekend or day, I jump in our van and head to the mountains.
